Most inductions are a rehash of the same old thing. Or they are created by hypnotists who are working with classroom theory or therapy sessions – stuff that has never been field tested in the entertainment business.
Lets face it, most stage hypnotists are doing a PR (Progressive Relaxation) – it is hard to find a more boring induction than that…
No offense intended, but I cannot imagine trying to make a living doing a PR induction – I would find it, hard as hell to satisfy the modern audience with that drawn out -- snoozer!

My Hypnosis Question of the Ages…
For years people have used scripts – perhaps you do. There is no shame in that – but I can tell you there is a far better way! That way is the EKG.
For years people have been hypnotizing groups. They start at page one of a script and go until page 12. My question is: If people are hypnotized on page 2 why go any further? And if people are not hypnotized on page 12 – you are at the end of your script – where do you go from there?
I never understood that! It makes no sense. That is the jumping off point of the EKG. You are not learning how to read script….you are learning how to hypnotize! How to knock em’ out – automatically!
So, How Fast is the EKG Induction?
The answer is -- it depends. This is not an “instant induction” but it is a much faster induction than 98% of the stage hypnotists are using. This is the induction I use everyday in my business. The clients who hire me don’t want instant inductions.
Instant inductions are great in Las Vegas, but tend to look violent and shocking. My typical clients are corporate and schools. My typical clients hire me because they DON”T expect me to be shocking or violent.
So to answer the question of “how fast is the induction” ….well the power of the EKG comes from it’s flexibility. If dropping people into trance only takes six minutes -- then it takes six minutes – if it takes 12 minutes it takes 12 minutes – each show is different because each audience is different, each performing environment is different.
I cannot tell you how fast this induction is anymore than you can tell me who is going to be at my next show. Hypnosis is a matter of skill, not how fast you can read 12 pages of text. I am performing as Lady Mesmer at the Bay Area Ren Fest. The EKG induction was just the ticket for this highly distracting atmosphere. I could adjust it easily to meet the needs of the folks I had on stage and it was easy to add in cues for the unbelievable amount of distractions.
Last week during the induction at one show there were bagpipes, loud bell ringing from the pub, fire engine sirens and helicopters just about all at once...oh and dogs barking by the stage. Because of the EKG, people dropped like flies on the stage and the audience thought I was truly amazing!
This was a very good investment of my money and my time and I highly recommend it.
I wish I would have found this before I spent the money on a lot of other stuff. It is harder to do than the other stuff but yet easier to hypnotize with. The reason it is harder is because you have to sort of think doing the induction and in the past I just did it. That is probably why I was stinking and not hypnotizing anyone. I have used this 4 times now and the people are like rag dolls within just a few minutes. I highly recommend it.

I have been using the EKG induction for over a year now. I have (in 45 yrs) never found a better way to "Put the Whammie!!!" on the group. Not only is it effetive(due to it's customisable content). But, for the Satge, it is entertaining and quite theatrical. It is different enough, that even the "pro" hypnotherapists are impressed and identifying it as a "better way" asking about where it came from etc. I know that from the moment that I step out on stage, I have only minutes to "Do something" and start entertaining---the EKG fills the bill and hasn't faailed me.
